Blooming Early

Sunday morning's walk was an hour long amble around the lanes of the local village.

We parked by the village school and walked along the road to the lane which loops around the riding stables then joins the disused railway track.

As the weather was so good, it was very popular with cyclists and horse riders - like a Saturday along Oxford Street just before Christmas.  There also happened to be a horsey event taking place in the field beside the track so lots of 4x4s with horse boxes and trailers parked up.

We saw quite a few bluebells already in flower - a month early!

  1. Lovely blue sky and such a gloriously peaceful lane - shame about all the events going on.

    1. We shouldn't begrudge everyone else enjoying the sunshine! Lovely to hear from you. I was beginning to worry that you hadn't posted on your blog for a few days x

  2. Lovely scenery! I haven't spotted any bluebells yet only gorse...

Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)
