May Bank Holiday Monday

Well, not much to write about here as I did absolutely nothing all day.

Cool, grey, overcast morning and P was out most of the day doing a house painting job for an elderly relative.   I had plans to catch up on lots of little tasks around the house but kept putting them off. Instead I just pottered around aimlessly,  drank lots of coffee and read my library book. The only job I did manage to do was to rearrange the kitchen dresser, which was not even on my to-do list.

The sun did come out during the afternoon but it was still so cold we had to switch on the heating.  I can't remember it being quite so cold at this time of year before, but perhaps my memory is failing along with everything else.

I read a blog post yesterday from a lady in Bavaria who says that they have just had an unexpected fall of snow - in May!

I just wish the weather would start to perk up before I sink into a deep depression.

  1. I enjoyed this blogpost because it reflects the mundane reality of true life experience. That's how many days are - unremarkable. It's not all about achievements and exciting things to tell.

    1. Ha, thanks. I wasn't sure about posting this one as I thought it would be just too boring - not that my life is usually full of excitement :)

  2. Agree with YP above - mundane reality here too.
