Rummaging through the larder this evening I found a little glass bottle of Lea & Perrins Sprinkle n Spice which I had forgotten we had.
Looking at the Use By Date I see it was some time in 1998.
They apparently no longer make this now.
Needless to say, the bottle is now in the glass recycling bin, devoid of contents (unused).
Oh I hate when that happens. I've never found a good set-up to maximize the space in a cupboard while being able to keep everything in view. I'm scared to look at what might be in the back of a couple of my cupboards!
ReplyDeletePerhaps a big hairy spider called Martin.
DeleteI hate it when that happens. I also hate it when I am running out of something and buy a replacement, only to forget that I still have the dregs of the first left and open the second, so that I end up with two on the go! Infuriating!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I end up using more than I need to save wasting it 🙄

ReplyDelete(I remembered you don't like swear words)
DeleteIn Sheffield Lea and Perrins is banned. Here we use Henderson's Relish - a far superior savoury sauce - and vegan too!
ReplyDeleteNot seen that one. Too exclusive probably
DeleteThat is just slightly newer than the most out of date item we have received at the food bank where I volunteer! Our record is a tin of something dated 1995!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's terrible. I can't believe anyone would donate something like that and expect some poor soul to eat it!
