The forecast for the next day or so is for severe gales. Again.
The ferry will not be sailing so there will be a few empty shelves in the supermarket .
What better incentive to protect our local food producers?
Given the amount of rain we have, we are thinking of planting rice in our garden. It already looks like a paddy field.
Meanwhile, Elfie has been busy making the Christmas pudding. Now, not too much brandy please Elfie!
Hope Elfies has got all the ingredients for the Christmas Pudding? It's too wet and windy to go shopping.
ReplyDeleteI know! We are supposed to be meeting friends for a meal out tonight but I really don't want to step outside.
DeleteIt's you isn't it? It's you that's been making a Christmas pudding, eating strawberry jam with a spoon, going to see Father Christmas ... I think it's absolutely shameful to blame Elfie for these things.
ReplyDeleteNo! No! A big boy did it and ran away!
ReplyDeleteNaughty Elf had a very big pestle.
ReplyDeleteHe's always been a good mixer.
DeleteSorry about the rain - not very seasonal, is it? At least you don't have to shovel it! Elfie is definitely getting into the Christmas spirits.
ReplyDeleteWe have strong to gale force winds today. A few trees down. Great fun.
DeleteMy my that is a big one! Elfie certainly has the right idea of how to pass the time of day by banging around in that bowl. That'll certainly keep him out of mischief!
ReplyDeleteHe's got big feet as well!
I'm sure he'll be up to more mischief for my niece's little girl.
DeleteLady Magnon bakes her cake today... I'm keeping well away!
ReplyDeleteVery wise sir.
DeleteNow that's the Xmas spirit that I enjoy!! My cakes will have whisky this year. We don't drink brandy at all
ReplyDeleteNot too keen on whisky but I'm partial to a drop of brandy :)
DeleteI suppose you have to keep supplies in just in case the non-deliveries last for days? Or do you just hope for the best? Elfie looks like a real professional...
ReplyDeletexxx
We usually have enough supplies, just in case.
