I noticed the above on the car dashboard display this morning on the drive into town.

For some reason it just caught my interest and made me smile.

Perhaps I am slowly losing my marbles.

Anyway, we collected our parcel from M&S just as the store opened at 9 a.m. then had coffee and sourdough toast for breakfast at the Sea Terminal cafe.

Living on the edge again.

I have a thing about numbers. I can't do odd numbers.

    1. If I picked up some plants for example. It would be 2 or 4 or six never three or five. I suppose we all have odd ways of doing things?

  2. Palindromic whichever system you use to write it. Just been reading about it on rhymeswithplague blog.

    1. It was most enjoyable. Worth getting up early on a Sunday (for me anyway).
Oh, and the new sofa cushions we collected look good too.

    2. I had no idea that you played marbles JayCee! I guess that the M&S parcel contained replacement marbles.

    4. All the kids down our way kept their marbles in an allie bag Mr P. I gather that some marbles were called alleys so that probably accounts for it. There is also a very fashionable ladies handbag these days called the Allie. Too expensive for me though.

    5. You could pick up a new bag at a charity shop in Douglas. Alternatively, my wife has some spare handbags. Do you also need shoes and a new coat? It must be so hard living on the breadline.

  4. I have stopped buying sourdough bread because it makes such delicious toast that I just cannot resist eating it at any time of day.

    1. I would be the same if it didn't cost £3 per loaf to buy!

  5. Today's date is a palindrome (the same read backwards or forwards). This is the only one this century! The next one is 12/12/2121 in 101 years.

    1. Yes, I looked it up after reading Tasker's comment. I don't think I'll be around for the next one!
