5 Degrees

When I set off in the car this morning at 9:30 for my Hospice volunteering shift the dashboard display was showing 4C and the frost warning light was flashing amber.

It was pretty chilly out there.

When I returned to my car at 2 p.m. in the Hospice car park the sky was bright blue and the sun was shining.

The dashboard display was showing 9C.

That 5 degrees difference was very welcome.

  1. So glad of my big warm coat today - there was a cold wind even in the middle of Leeds.

    1. It seemed quite balmy here this afternoon, although that looks set to change tomorrow.

  2. Just like Prince Charles, I always liked The Five Degrees but back in the day there were only three of them.

  3. Brrrr. 4 or 9, that's chilly.
Sunshine and blue sky though always a welcome sight.

  4. There's nothing to beat winter fresh air sunshine and blue skies - except a 20 in front of those numbers :)

Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)
