My First Car

Thanks to Graham for awakening this memory

I think it was red. Hard to tell from this black and white photo!

That's my little sister on the bonnet. She was taller than me even then.

Great haircuts aren't they?

  1. Fantastic photo JayCee. That car would be worth a lot of money if you still had it. When was it taken? Nineteen sixties?

    1. Thanks northsider. It must have been no later than 1960 I think. I would have been 3 or 4 and my sister a year younger.

  2. Lord knows how you could steer that car safely with your sister sitting on the bonnet like the Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy!

  4. I like it. I see you're the one having to do all the work though.

  5. You both look lovely. I like your hairstyles. Your little sister looks more like your big sister. Oh, I just noticed, you said she was taller than you even then. Understood.

    1. Thanks Rachel. I think my mother must have used blunt scissors to hack at our hair!

  7. If you ever consider doing a collective piece about other people's toy cars, please feel free to include my late Father-in-Laws. It can be found on my page if you type 'ringlets' into the search strip.
