As mentioned on a previous blog post, I had accidentally booked a couple of trips virtually back to back.
We are still supposed to be going away next weekend, then we were leaving for another trip 4 days after returning home, followed by my visit to Center Parcs with my sister, niece and two little ones over Easter.
The middle trip in early April was to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Today we learned that travel to that country has been restricted so we now have to join the queue of passengers waiting to apply for a cancellation refund.
It seems there are many hundreds in the queue ahead of us.
Sometimes the best discoveries are right under your nose...welcome to the Isle of Man.
ReplyDeleteA seabound kingdom where the wonders of coastline and countryside, sea and shore, meet within a matter of minutes. Situated between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales is where you'll find the Isle of Man. It's a place full of colour, contrasts and character, where landscapes are carved from pure imagination and the history is rich.
Shame about the weather though
DeleteFrustrating I am sure but there must be so many is similar situations - seems we have to get used to a lot in a short time.
ReplyDeleteJust an irritation more than anything. If we stay healthy losing out on a trip abroad is nothing really. (Provided we get our money back!)
DeleteIt's a very sticky wicket that we're all playing on at the moment.
ReplyDeleteAnd with no balls....
DeleteYep😄
ReplyDeleteI came here via Pat (Weaver of Grass) and discover you must be in the Isle of Man where I heard yesterday the TT Races are cancelled. We came for 10 years, staying in Port Erin. We loved the island finding it so similar to home, North Yorkshire.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a kind comment. We love living here and feel so very sad at the moment about the effect this virus is having on the World. The island may hopefully escape to some extent but at least we have a beautiful place to self-isolate!
