Well, That Didn't Take Long

Sorry to bore you by being yet another poster about the bloody bug but we now have our first confirmed case here on the island, despite this week's preventative measures.

It seems a resident returned home from Spain on Sunday and was already infected before he arrived.

Another man was arrested yesterday for ignoring the quarantine regulations.

Just have to see how long it takes for it to spread through our relatively small community.

  1. Oh boy. Too close for comfort. Wonder how many people he came into contact before isolation. Hope you too keep well.

    1. Thanks Linda. Our ministers will be announcing further measures later today so we are not sure if we are all going to be in lockdown (God I hate that word). I forsee another panic surge in the shops today.

  2. Is a lynching planned? You will need burning torches when you surround his house.

  3. Yes I can't help feeling that Yorkshire Pud is right - unknown territory indeed. A present everyone here is being so kind and helping those of us self isolating because of age - but when the chips are really down what will happen? One can only hope people will continue to be kind and helpful.

    1. If, as predicted, this lasts for the rest of the year one wonders how the mood may change.

    1. Thanks Jacqueline. My hands are so clean the skin is turning red! Can't say the same for the other half - he seems to think washing hands is for sissies!

  6. That will be an interesting project to follow the spread from one source in a small island. Stay safe. Hope you find pasta.
