I was due to visit the hairdresser this week for my usual cut but she is, obviously, now closed.
My hair has started to really annoy me, hanging in my eyes and generally getting in the way, so I thought I would just give it a quick trim.
How difficult could it be, I thought, if I just grab a handful and just follow the same line, chopping off an inch.
Thank goodness nobody else can see me now, or for the next few weeks!
You should have asked Peregrine to dress up as a hairdresser - in a floral shirt with tight trews. Then he could have minced into the kitchen with his scissors and comb, saying, "So what are we having today darling? Same as usual?"
ReplyDeleteOh, no, no, no, no....don't even joke about it! He would have used the electric thingy with a number one cut 😱
DeleteDidn't you have the right sized basin?
ReplyDeleteI think it must have slipped.
DeleteYou are braver than I am.
ReplyDeleteI was getting desperate.
DeleteDon't worry JayCee we will only be confined to our homes for six months. Your will hair will have grown back by then.
ReplyDeleteIt will be down to my knees by then.
DeleteI will be doing the same soon. Can't stand my fringe hanging in my eyes. I've tried before and the result has been lopsided and disastrous.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, nobody else can see it but you do every time you look in the mirror.
At least it's not hanging in your eyes. Think positive
Thank goodness I don't do Zoom.
DeleteThis is when it would be handy to have a resident stylist!
ReplyDeleteI shall stipulate that my next servant must also have hairdressing skills.
DeleteWhile everyone else was buying toilet paper, I was stocking up on hair color. I'm in need of a cut already, but at least I'm still a brunette!
ReplyDeleteLuckily I have never coloured my hair so haven't had that problem. I am just a dark brunette with natural silver highlights!
DeleteYes me, too but I daren't trim my own. I am interested to see how it will look though having had it short since 2009!
