What Shall I Do Today?

That was the question I asked myself this morning when I eventually got up.

The answer came back pretty swiftly.  Nothing much.

I did run the vacuum cleaner over the carpets and dusted the surfaces  but that was the only productive thing I managed to do.

The day so far has been very warm and sunny, up to 23C just now, so much of my time has been spent sitting outside reading. Unfortunately that means that I am rapidly getting through our small stack of library books. I shall need to find something interesting on the borrowed kindle soon.

I feel that an Aperol spritz is in order quite soon, to be sipped at the table outside looking at the sun shimmering on the sea behind Peel Castle.

Who needs to go away on an exotic holiday anyway???

  1. Every morning my dear husband asks me what I have 'programmed' for today, in all seriousness. Instead of screaming 'nothing' at him I politely say I must make the beds and open up the house to get a little fresh air inside or something totally trite. It is enogu to please him as he is a very programmed person.
But I hate progarmmes and why bother just now anyway.
Aperol spritz sounds like something I could just possibly programme in for today, and tomorrow. Be happy today for tomorrow, well, who darn knows

    1. Ha, yes. My OH often asks how I can just sit around doing nothing. It's quite easy really. Can't see his problem 😁

  2. Precisely! The Irish Sea is just as exotic as The Caribbean and equally azure. Plus Manx folk can limbo with the best of them.

    1. You are correct, as ever, YP. Don't forget the fresh queenies and kippers too, followed by a slice of good bonnag.

    2. Bonnag? Never heard of it. Is it Manx for banana?

    1. It certainly was today. We seem to have had such great weather recently. Dare I suggest that it could be related to the you-know-what???

  4. My cousin asks things like: "and what have been your three main acievements so far this year?" Not one but three! I can imagine her asking her husband each morning: "and what three things are you going to achieve today?"

  5. Lucky you and all your compatriots. It was 2C this morning here (didn`t budge much all day) and there was a snow squall during my walk this afternoon.

  6. It's not looking too good outside my window this morning so after breakfast I think I might just take a bath. Then think about what to wear.. Then it'll be time for coffee. Oh all this excitement makes me weary so maybe a lie down
