I am impressed as well. You did a good job. I love spots. It will look great with a bright coloured cardigan on top as well. Baby steps to the sewing bee!!
It's probably not a man thing. However, I remember being told that when my mother was expecting me, her first child, my Dad decided that he would learn to knit and succeeded in knitting me a layette. He was a great Dad!
Thank you Janice. I will probably just wear this around the house in the summer. I think I need a lot more practice to get to the stage where I would wear one of my home-mades out in public!
It's harder when you leave the pattern pieces intact and try to fold them along your particular size line rather than cut them down - just in case you may need a larger size next time!
Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)
I am impressed - I can barely thread a needle. Well done.

ReplyDeleteNow onto Peregrine's tiger print onesie.
Thanks YP. Oh, I think I'd like a tiger print onesie for myself. P can just carry on wearing that wrinkly pink suit he's had for years.
DeleteYou mean his naked skin?
DeleteOh, is that what is is? It needs ironing anyway.

DeleteWow, that was quick! It takes me ages to sew anything, so I've just about given up. My wardrobe is full, anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt was meant to be an easy pattern so didn't take that long.
DeleteMy wardrobes are all full too!
That looks very chic! I can just about sew a button on...

Aw, thanks Vronni xx
DeleteWhat do you mean? - it looks expertly crafted. Cutting out was the bit I hated about dressmaking. Well done for persevering.
ReplyDeleteHugs, x.
