If Peregrine had donned some tight satin trousers and a floral shirt, he could have minced about before trimming your hair..."And what will be having today madam? Before we start would you like a coffee lovie?" Clip-clip-snip-snip...
Lucky you .... I can cut my husbands and my fringe reasonably well ( his hairdresser might say otherwise ! ) but my highlights need doing. Doesn’t look too bad yet.though ... just a bit dull ! XXXX
And just to highlight the different approaches to this awful virus - our hairdressers have been allowed to open the whole time yet golf courses closed. Nail salons and massage parlours also had to close!
I shall give my hairdresser amiss for a while. Long absence has forced me to look after it myself and I am just getting used to doing it and enjoying the experience.
I quite like mine a little longer now but it has lost its shape and looks bedraggled. If I can have a tidy up I may be able to keep it trimmed myself afterwards.
In US. Just this morning had my first haircut in three months (hairdresser has own salon in her home, separate area/separate entrance--no other clients). So happy I don't have to keep pushing my fringe out of my eyes and off my nose...not to mention getting rid of those straggly curls at the nape of my neck.
" tidy up the mess that I have made over the past 3 months of fringe hacking" - it's a bit much to expect her to come round and sweep your floor as well.
Great news about the opening of hairdressers, but ... Nooooo!!! You're getting rid of your shaggy bob?!!
Well done IoM on your progress through this. We two islands are coming out of this on an almost parallel path and social media is abuzz with calls for our two islands to bubble buddy, as our neighbouring island has taken a different route to we two. Calls for our island airline to start flights over to the Isle of Jay. Let's push for that eh!! Hugs, x.
Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)

ReplyDeleteCorrection: "what will WE be having today". Sorry.
DeleteIt seems you speak from experience. Is that how things are at your local coiffeure, Mr Teasy Weasy?
DeleteI have got a bald bloke called Danny, Ms Wacky Jackie!
DeleteDid you hear about that new German Barbers? It's called Herr Kutz.
ReplyDeleteNooooo! Now you'll start a deluge of funny hairdresser names!!!

ReplyDeleteI have never coloured or highlighted mine so just the wild, tangled mess to sort out. I could pretend that all my streaks of silver are highlights?

ReplyDeleteIt seems arbitrary doesn't it? Golf courses would seem to be safer places to be than in close proximity to a hair stylist!

ReplyDeleteI bet it feels great now after having a good haircut?
DeleteI am fed up with trying to clip mine back. It is still too short for a ponytail.
It does. Though we both laughed when she got out the broom to sweep it up the cuttings. Looked like she had enough to make up a silver toy poodle.
DeleteI haven't tried for an app. yet but we've managed to get an app. for our dog who has become a shaggy old English sheep dog, instead of a cockapoo!
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should have tried the dog groomers!

ReplyDeleteOh, do you think so? I'd better get P to go over it with the broom then.
