Shivers

It's flipping freezing here today.

I was working in the gift shop all morning with the door open.  Even behind my plexiglass screen I could feel the cold draught blowing through.  The heavy rain didn't help either, making the draught damp as well as cold.

As soon as I got home I put on my fleece sweatshirt and now have a hot water bottle on my lap.

We have been invited to lunch in our friends' garden on Sunday. Hope it warms up by then!

  1. Think it's a wet weekend for most of us. Did Summer arrive too early? You will have to make some hot Toddy's on Sunday.

  2. To misquote Morrisey: I wanted some rain and then I got some rain and heaven knows I'm miserable now.

  3. Working in that gift shop is more hazardous to health than coal mining! They should issue you with overalls, helmet and lamp.

  9. The days they are a changing.... We are getting colder days now but not cold enough for a fleece. Rain in northern Greece.
Hope that its warm enough for an outdoor lunch on Sunday. You need a fire pit like they do in America

    1. I hope so too, as we are still not supposed to enter someone else's home just yet. The lunch is a birthday party so keeping fingers crossed the rain holds off.

  10. So many have put in the heating this past week, but I've not heard of hot water bottles coming into play! But I've had pics sent me today of beach activities in the IoM so I'm sure your meet up with friends didn't include the HWB!
    Hugs, Mary x.
