Drat! The fruit and vegetables look fine. I believe there's been some bad thunder storms and flooding over night in the north of England. I didn't know it also hit the Isle of Man?
Yep, we got some of it early this morning, which is what caused all the damage. P reckons the driveway has been scoured right down to the original hardcore base and has very deep ruts in it now. Not sure how easily it can be repaired.
It seems we got off lightly, looking at the news reports from the northwest UK. They have had a lot of flooding again so our drive is nothing compared to that. Still, a lot of work for P to do.
Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)

DeleteYikes. That won't be fun to clean up...and to keep from happening in another downpour.
ReplyDeleteWe don't quite know where to start. It is such a mess.
DeleteThat's a mess. He's going to have to use a bit of muscle to sort it all out. You had a very heavy downfall.

DeleteYour table and chairs - it took me ages to work out what it was - they make such an interesting shape.
ReplyDeleteAh yes. We tip over the chairs when rain is forecast. I suppose it does look strange!
DeleteSorry you had such a deluge. We could do with some of it over here, very dry and hot at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWe have some more to come. You would be very welcome to take it!
DeleteA daunting prospect to say the least. I hope the further storms have not made things worse.
ReplyDeleteWe have had more rain overnight and some further showers are forecast but hopefully not quite as heavy.
DeleteThat's not a driveway my dear, it's a frigging moat!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, it is no longer a driveway. It is just a flippin' mess.
DeleteOh dear!
ReplyDeleteHope it returns to normal soon...
