The "Vax" Dashboard

We now have an online COVID vaccination programme reporting system, so that island residents can track how we are doing in terms of the numbers of vaccinations administered, booked etc.

It is updated at regular intervals during the day so we can see how things are progressing.

Gives us something to do while we wait.

  2. Vaccines are now available on the island but no idea of when we might get it.
All our info comes through the grapevine system

  3. My oldest brother has had his, and like Linda, I hear through the grapevine from family and neighbours. No bad reports so far.

  4. That looks good. It struck me that, for health-providers, one way to reduce the inevitably high level of phone enquiries is to provide lots of information online.

    1. Seems obvious doesn't it. I think this resource was prompted by questions asked at a recent government COVID press briefing.

  5. You have a very small population JayCee. So it shouldn't be long for your turn.

    1. I think my turn should be around May, so long as they don't run out before then!

    1. We have been getting those too. Plus scam 'phone calls asking people to pay for their vaccine certificate.

  7. My husband had his last week .... not had mine yet but will wait patiently. My friend rang today .... she is two years younger than me and she and her husband are having theirs tomorrow ... it’s a bit of a postcode lottery but we will all get it eventually. It must be a logistical nightmare, sorting it all out ..... I think they are doing a brilliant job. XXXX

  8. Today my dental hygienist told me she was waiting on getting the vaccine until more people had it so she could see what happened to them before she decided to get it. Of course, she was telling me this while she was cleaning my teeth and so I thought Yikes! Get the vaccine, woman!

    1. I am not sure if I have properly understood all the articles I have read, but they appear to suggest that the vaccine only relieves the virus' symptoms and does not prevent its spread.
Once you get the vaccine you can pass the virus on to her!! Only joking.

  9. Will you be able to watch it change up by one when you have yours done?

    1. Only if nobody else has theirs done within the same 90 minute interval. Shame ๐Ÿคจ

  10. If you are struggling to find things to do may I suggest that you bake Lord Peregrine an excellent venison pie and serve it to him with roasted potatoes, a red wine jus and steamed tender-stem broccoli. Afterwards he may require a relaxing foot massage.

    1. I wonder how long it will take to get into production. We may not see it over here before our 2021 rollout programme ends.

    2. The only drawback is you have to wear a nappy and use baby powder for a fortnight.

    3. That's not a problem. I do that now anyway.

  12. Sadly, it’s been a bit of a mess on this side of the pond, with only a small percentage of us having received ours yet. We’re hoping with the new administration, things will begin to speed up.
