Yesterday, Sunday, was a gloriously sunny Spring day. P spent most of the morning painting the outside of the house then went for a short run.
After lunch we went out for a walk up the track behind the house. As we are in our Lockdown number three we wanted to walk somewhere free from other people.
I have shown this walk before but here it is again.
I shall miss this when we move, but there will be new routes to explore, and different views to enjoy.
Did you not see Julia Bradbury? It looks a great place to walk. The Furze (Gorse) is in flower here too? We've got a storm heading our way on Wednesday night. At least it's nice today.
ReplyDeleteJulia was long gone!
DeleteWe have that same storm heading our way too. Started off rainy this morning but sunny again now. Wish it would last a bit longer.
That looks idyllic, looks a lot like our South Downs.

But cooler!
DeleteBeautiful; I was going to say the same as Briony. Up behind Brighton (Devil's Dyke) it's quite similar.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Devil's Dyke for decades. It was a lovely spot.
DeleteYou are surrounded by beauty! How lucky you are!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen. I certainly would not want to move back to the place I grew up.
DeleteI live in a suburb of Chicago and I can find my own style of beauty in the parks around here but nothing as spectacular as your 3rd photo of the post!
DeleteThe scenery near you is beautiful. Living in the suburbs, we don't have anything like it but once lockdown is eased we can drive a short distance to some lovely scenery. I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteNot too long to wait I hope x
DeleteLooks like a really nice walk! You could always come back and walk it again when you move...

We shall see...
DeleteYou obviously live in the right place for the leisure interests that you have J.
ReplyDeleteWalking, eating and drinking!
DeleteWhat glorious scenery JayCee ..... such a special place to live. I’m sure that when you move there will be more lovely views and new places to explore. Beautiful photographs. XXXX
ReplyDeleteThank you Jackie xxxx
DeleteIt must be lovely to walk and see the sea.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to lift my spirits.
DeleteWhat a glorious day and what a lovely walk. As you say, there will be fresh walks to take when you finally move.
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed a glorious day. Sadly the sunshine has disappeared for a while so I am glad we made the most of it.
DeleteGosh those pictures are gorgeous! Walking amidst that kind of scenery has to be good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Bob.
DeleteHaving grown up with gorse as a plague in NZ i never thought i would be preparing a comment that admires the gorse flowers! Oh to have been back in Blighty this last year i would hzve been able to walk and cycle in the South Downs (behind our home) and would have been vaccinated by now. The person handling our post let us know the vax invitations have arrived.
ReplyDeleteOur lanes are full of horse. I love it.
DeleteP has his vaccination appointment tomorrow. The invitation letters to the over 60s are going out soon. Can't wait.
I don't know why my phone changed gorse to horse!!!
