Spring Sun on a Sunday

Yesterday, Sunday, was a gloriously sunny Spring day.  P spent most of the morning painting the outside of the house then went for a short run.

After lunch we went out for a walk up the track behind the house.  As we are in our Lockdown number three we wanted to walk somewhere free from other people.

I have shown this walk before but here it is again.

I shall miss this when we move, but there will be new routes to explore,  and different views to enjoy.

  1. Did you not see Julia Bradbury? It looks a great place to walk. The Furze (Gorse) is in flower here too? We've got a storm heading our way on Wednesday night. At least it's nice today.

    1. Julia was long gone!
We have that same storm heading our way too. Started off rainy this morning but sunny again now. Wish it would last a bit longer.

  3. Beautiful; I was going to say the same as Briony. Up behind Brighton (Devil's Dyke) it's quite similar.

    1. Thank you Ellen. I certainly would not want to move back to the place I grew up.

    2. I live in a suburb of Chicago and I can find my own style of beauty in the parks around here but nothing as spectacular as your 3rd photo of the post!

  5. The scenery near you is beautiful. Living in the suburbs, we don't have anything like it but once lockdown is eased we can drive a short distance to some lovely scenery. I can't wait!!

    1. It was indeed a glorious day. Sadly the sunshine has disappeared for a while so I am glad we made the most of it.

  12. Having grown up with gorse as a plague in NZ i never thought i would be preparing a comment that admires the gorse flowers! Oh to have been back in Blighty this last year i would hzve been able to walk and cycle in the South Downs (behind our home) and would have been vaccinated by now. The person handling our post let us know the vax invitations have arrived.
