Soggy

This morning it has been steadily drizzling and the clouds have been hanging low down on the hillsides.

We walked to the Saturday market on our way to buy the newspaper and snagged a treat from the Isle of Man Goats farm stall, before they sold out.  They had some freshly baked pies, lightly spiced goat or hogget.  I bought one of each as they looked so good.

We had a coffee,  looking out at the rain which looked set to last all day.

This afternoon we had another house viewing.  Another one that turned out to be not for us. A recent renovation that has been poorly thought out and vastly overpriced.

At least the sun is trying to break through , just in time for the Ramsey Rocks festival.

Hope the noise doesn't keep P awake.

  1. Supposed to be wet all week JayCee. Ramsey Rocks sounds great. Are you going for a dance about?

  2. The birds and the beards appear to have good beards. Do the birds nest in them?

  3. Sorry you still haven't found the retirement home of your dreams - one reason I have decided stay put for as long as possible!

    1. We have another 11 months to find something. Hope that's enough!

  4. I thought that Lord Peregrine was the lead singer for Jester's Dead. The other lads in the band call him Screaming Lord Peregrine.

    1. Yep. That's him. And a right old noise he makes too.

    1. That's probably because they're local lads. Their fame has not yet spread to France Profonde.

  6. What? No sunshine? There doesn't appear to be any people either.

    1. All the people were sheltering from the rain, as were we in the coffee shop!

  8. My daughter and son-in-law are going through the same angst. The found a place that they both fell in love with...there was even a cat door for their Afghan street cat. They did not get it. Such an emotional roller coaster! I feel for you. A relaxing rock concert might be just the thing!

    1. One of the problems we have is that there is a very limited pool of available properties for sale over here. Anything suitable gets snapped up straight away and the prices are soaring as a result.

    2. Same thing here in the US as well.
