Weird Weather

These photos were both taken just now from the side door.

The first shows the view across the road at the front with blue sky and a rainbow.

Turning round,  this is the view from the same spot showing the heavy rain sweeping down from the hill across the back garden .

Strange.

  1. Weird weather. We saw two rainbows last week and drove through a rainbow last summer.

    1. Shame there was no gold at the end though.

  2. Pity the rain was sweeping down. Hope it passed quickly and another rainbow appeared soon after

    1. It was strange to see sunshine at the front of the house whilst it was raining heavily at the back at the same time!

  3. We get variations like that I always put it down to living in hilly country.

  5. There is a saying here in the States applicable to most regions: if you don't like the weather, stick around as it is sure to change. I believe you have illustrated this perfectly!

    1. Sometimes we can experience all four seasons in the same day!

  6. How nice to be greeted by a rainbow in the morning! Makes you believe that it will be a good day!
Of course, the other view would make you want to crawl back into bed! Hope it cleared up and you are having a nice day, JayCee!

    1. Sadly the rain won in the war of the weather fronts. 😕

  7. My gosh! That is amazing. I left church yesterday in a pouring rain. Naturally , my umbrella was in the car. I was driving to the grocery store, and I could see where the rain ended in front of me. I drove out of the downpour to no rain at all at the grocery store. I took my umbrella with me, just in case.

    1. That is quite strange isn't it, to be right at the rain dividing line .

  8. We've been experiencing views like that in Lefkada all last week. Maybe it's an island thing....perhaps we should stick to being mainlanders!

    1. But the rain is much better on an island. Fairer shares all round!
