Friends

Yesterday afternoon I opened the front door to call P in for a cup of tea.  On the porch doorstep was a large, white paper carrier bag.  Inside was this....

A Get Well Soon gift from the Sunday Walkers;  they had arranged a personal delivery from the local chocolate shop.  Such a lovely group of ladies.

They came up to Ramsey for their walk this morning and called in afterwards for coffee and cake.

It was good to have a relaxed chat and catch up.  I am impatient now to get out and about again.

  1. Sometimes "out of sight" is also "out of mind" but your lady friends have not forgotten you. Spring will be starting to bloom when you next walk with them and that is something good to look forward to. In the meantime, you have luxury chocolates to munch. They look far too good for Lord Greedy.

    1. I was very touched by their thoughtful gesture. If I eat too much more cake and chocolate before I can get back to my walking I shall need to be carted around in a wheelbarrow.
P and I sampled one chocolate each and the box is now safely hidden away out of sight from a hungry husband.

  3. A wonderful gesture. I also hope you 'get well quick' . Eating those chocs will definitely help. Get them out of hiding!! You can walk em off later. Much later

  4. Did you take the box out of its hiding place and offer them chocolates or had P found it and eaten them all by the time they visited?

    1. I gave them cake and they couldn't manage chocolates as well. P had cake too but scoffed one chocolate before I hid the box.

    1. Yes, I am sorry that I moved further away from them but we can still meet up, just not quite so frequently.

  7. When out walking do NOT take your revolving map with you. Today, apparently, I'm in Neath in Wales!

  9. Oh those look scrumptious, and what a kind thought from your friends. It must take tremendous willpower to just eat one every so often - no wonder you hide them!
