My daily random ramblings
This week has seen the island enjoying the start of the TT Festival as well as some Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Although the weather has been a little hit and miss most people seem to be enjoying themselves.
Great portrait pic of Lord Peregrine in the bottom right-hand corner. It's easy to see why you fell in love with him all those years ago.
It was the beard.
OMG, I was going to say the same thing as YP said! LOL! Sure looks like Summertime fun to me! Is it crowded?
Yep. Lots of visitors out and about despite the lack of sunshine. Not quite as many as in previous years though.
That's not your ad. for TT Teas on the top right hand corner is it?
Not Guilty! My cakes would not be very popular.
Does the Policeman have a speed gun?😊
Yep. Well spotted Dave. Trying to catch those naughty speeding bikes.
I was about to asks the question Northsider asks. I suspect there are plenty of speeders around.
Unfortunately yes. There is a lot of excitement with the racing, speed and general high spirits. Sometimes a dangerous combination.
We hope to be there next year - it is on our 'to do' list along with Goodwood Revival (we live so close to Goodwood and never got off our butts and did it....)
Oh, I really hope you get to visit. If everything is back to normal next year you will need to book early!
I thought I commented! Anyways, it looks like a fun day. Except for the policeman with the radar gun. Did he catch you walking too quickly?
Debby I think a few comments seem to just disappear. I regularly check my spam folder but nothing there. Good old Blogger. The two weeks of the festival are usually quite good fun and enjoyed by the visitors, although there have been four fatalities already - two competitors and two visitors. Fast bikes, high spirits, always risky.
Although I am quite used to talking to myself, any comments on my posts are very welcome, provided they are not abusive. I do reply to them so please check back. It's good to talk (!)
