Got It In Two

Every morning after breakfast I do the daily Wordle puzzle, just to help kick-start my sluggish brain.

My average score is generally four attempts, sometimes five. This morning a word just popped into my head at random for my starting word and I got all but one letter on the first attempt. It was easy to work out the missing letter so I scored two today.

Pat on the head for the lady in the fleecy dressing gown.

Elfie was waiting for the postman yesterday.  He obviously didn't realise that all his cards are still  over in the UK amongst the millions stuck in piles due to the strikes.

    1. I just struck lucky with my starting word. I don't suppose I'll score two again.

  2. At least Elfie isn't looking out on snow and blizzards. Well done that lady although we have no idea what wordle is. Must go and find out (probably been living under a rock). Xxx Mr T

  3. I do "Wordle" just after midnight most days. A few months ago the starter word that popped into my head was "OLIVE" and believe it or not, that was the answer! This has only happened once to me.

  5. Tell Ebenezer Sunak to give nurses a pay rise Elfie. They deserve it and he can personally afford it.

    1. I just do the online version through my browser which works fine. I try not to download apps unless I have to as they always seem to have problems.

  9. I do Wordle after lunch. I also did it in 2 yesterday! The more likely number of tries is 4 or 5. Do you always start with the same word? I have several I like to use......aside, adieu, audio and plate are the most used. Have you tried Worldle? I rarely get that right.

    1. I tend to try a different starting word each day, just whatever pops into my head.

  10. I must check out Wordle, I've heard it mentioned so often but can't think I've ever actually seen it in the crossword and puzzle pages of the local English language free papers. I usually just do the crosswords - easy, cryptic, Spanish, the codeword crossword and try to answer some of the "who did what" questions. That just about exhausts my grey cells until the following week!

  11. My average is about four but feel very smug when I get it in 2 or 3. Well done!

  12. Despite being a retired teacher (still tutor online and the grands...) I find Wordle not as easy to do as does my youngest grand girl...almost ready to graduate from home school in May...it is fun to do together when we can on Facetime...we just did it today as she and her mom are visiting me here in Florida from Indy. Enjoy working this little game that seems to have taken over....
